I took in a stray flea infested kitten in sept of 2016, cleaned him up , got rid of all fleas, needless to say he is very much spoiled and a part of our family. He is a inside/outside cat therefore needs to be neutered. I do not have funds to do so, as I am am waiting on a disability hearing now for over 2 yrs.we do not qualify for any state assistance, but can barely make it week to week with 1 income and 2 children. I called BCHS but they said I would have to pay 50.00 for neuter and additional fee for rabies vaccine, we do not have that kind of more now, any suggestions?

Please see the following link to Spay Today: http://www.spay-today.org. You will see vets that participate with Spay Today. Each of the different vet clinics has listed their requirements, including age, as well as cat or dog pricing. Check to see what the vet requires and any other service that are available which you may need or want. Two standard things are that every vet requires a current up-to-date Rabies vaccination (the Rabies vaccination can be done at the time of surgery and cost is dependent upon which vet clinic you select) and there is a $5.00 Administration Fee for Spay Today, this fee is non-refundable.

Once you have decided on which vet clinic you would like to use, just give us a call and we can take your information along with your pet’s information over the phone. Once we have a total you can either pay over the phone using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover, or you can mail in a payment, or you can stop by Spay Today located at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center & Sanctuary just outside of Charles Town, WV and pay us directly (if paying by cash please bring as close to correct change as possible). Once we have your payment we go over your available dates and then we call the clinic of your selection to get your surgery date scheduled. We will call you back with the appointment date, time, and go over your pre-surgery information. You will then take your pet to the vet clinic you have chosen the morning of the surgery date and the clinic will let you know what time you can pick up your pet that afternoon (females may stay overnight dependent on the clinic’s discretion).

Please feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have at 304-728-8330 or 304-724-6558 & ask for Spay Today.

      Thank you
